On 31st May 2010, a Bank Holiday Monday, I got a chance to meet up with some old friends who are 3D special effects artists, I had my first lesson in 3d studio Max, and Reece ( the guy that give the lesson ) did a little something with the Mountain God above the Kirstenbosch Gardens from Geoffery Hodson’s book, Kingdom of the Gods ( we used the portrait front view ). Now bare in mind this was done very quickly, after spending several hours in the garden catching up on old times over several glasses of wine. In Reece’s own words, it’s down and dirty!!( apparently animators speak for quick and rough around the edges ).
So here are the first animated fruits of a wine infused Bank holiday Monday.
